S&O Supporting Wix YFC
25% of proceeds from all sales will be donated to Wix YFC for their chosen charities this year.
Up and down the country every year Young Farmers Clubs put on balls, host parties and help out at a whole range of events to raise money for their chosen charities. At Wix Young Farmers we take raising money for our charities pretty seriously, last year we donated an incredible total of £10,500.
Whilst the current Coronavirus pandemic has unfortunately meant that we will be unable to raise money through our usual spring and summer events, that is not going to stop us from being able to make those all important donations to our charities this year.
In an effort to help towards replacing some of the money we would have usually raised at these events I will be donating 25% of the proceeds from every order, from the first of March to September, to Wix Young Farmers. The donations will then be shared equally between this year’s charities - Cardiac Risk in the Young, Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity and the Farming Community Network.
As a club we choose charities every year that have meaning to our members, often for very personal reasons. This is the second year we have chosen to support Cardiac Risk in the Young and we have had several very informative talks from them about how the donations we make are put to use to support families across the country and create awareness amongst young people.
The second charity the club chose for this year is the Colchester and Ipswich Hospitals Charity, in particular the Collingwood Cancer centre at Colchester Hospital. This provides an invaluable service to the area and helps to support not only those people going through treatment but also their families and loved ones.
Last but not least, the club will be donating to the Farming Community Network, a voluntary organisation who support farmers and farming families with a whole range of both personal and business related issues. Not only do they have a helpline, they also go out to meet with farmers across the whole country.
If you would like any more information about the charities being supported by the donations please check out their websites or drop me a message. I will also be sharing more information over the coming months on our socials - @sprawlingandosborne.
Stay safe everyone,
